what to see and do
Majorca is a large island and there is plenty to see and do, depending on which resort you are staying at. Palma has a massive Gothic cathedral to visit, Magaluf has the Western Water Park, Santa Ponsa boasts Jungle Parc with its high ropes experience. Arenal (also known as S’Arenal and El Arenal) has the Aqualand el Arenal water park. Meanwhile, Alcudia has an especially pretty Old Town, Palma Nova has Katmandu Park, with rides and other attractions with a spooky feel, while Portals Nous is home of Marineland, with its aquarium and animal shows.
Wherever you stay, to get away from the crowds you could sort out a visit to a winery. For example, the village of Binissalem north east of Palma has several wineries around it and most are open to the public, although check in advance.
